5️⃣ Inversion after “Only” Phrases
Rule: When sentences begin with only after, only when, only by, only if, we invert the subject and auxiliary verb.
Examples:
- Only after the lecture did I understand the topic.
- Only when he apologised did she forgive him.
- Only by practising daily can you become fluent.
